Como Esta El Dolar?
Entering the next chapter of my financial journey has been a challenging transition, especially as a young investor. Witnessing the heavy financial burdens my mother shouldered during the 2007-2008 recession deeply impacted my perspective. She owned a vibrant Mexican store, but the market for Latino goods in rural Tennessee wasn't very strong. This meant customers were scarce. To make matters worse, the subprime mortgage crisis further squeezed her finances by impacting the value of her property. A crucial lifeline for the business was a money transfer service, or "envíos." This service provided a vital connection for her clients, many of them immigrants working in the U.S., by allowing them to send money back to their families in Latin America. Seeing my mother's struggles firsthand instilled in me a deep respect for financial responsibility and a desire to navigate the financial world with more knowledge and security.
